Farmer Profile for Miranda Dobson

We are third generation property owners creating a hobby farm for family use. We have started efforts to create benefit to the local community by planting an orchard, which we hope will produce enough to sell at a roadside farm stand in addition our our own use. We also raise various heritage and non heritage chickens for eggs and sell what our family doesn’t use to a small network of neighbors and friends. We also raise Irish Dexter Cattle, we hope to milk our young heifers when they freshen. And we are proud stewards of the breed. We do not come from farm families, but we have big imaginations and strong drives to develops a lifestyle and land use that suits our imaginations.
