Lease or partner with us to farm. Possible low rent or rent in exchange for care of property. Open to all ideas/arrangements. 48 acres total, woods with creek and 15-20 acres formerly conventionally farmed. No structures on property, but has gas/oil available.

Quality of land:

Conventional farming ceased at end of 2018. Currently working on transition to sustainable/organic. We put in rye and clover spring 2019 to hold the soil and start rebuilding soil heath. Some weeds. Was tiled, currently some low/wet land especially towards back, but the conventional farmer did pretty well with it for many years. Frost seeded approx. 1 acre moist meadow wildflower in back area this year. Approx 12' slope from front to back of field.

Additional Information

Property has been in the family since 1974.  It contains appoximately 48 acres total, with woods, field and a creek.  It is a beautiful property, in our humble opinion, and is adjacent to one of the covered bridges of Ashtabula.  15-20 acres was farmed by a local farmer, conventional corn/soy roatation, from the 1970's through 2018.  We decided to pursue a more eco-friendly path for the property and the conventional farmer was no longer interested, so we are looking for someone interested in using the field for sustainable/regenerative/organic crops.  We will consider offering greatly reduced rent to someone who shares our environmental values aqnd is willing to pursue eco-friendly practices and keep an eye on the property for us.  We are also open to partnership possibilities, primarily as an investor, depending on the proposal.
