Property has been in the family since 1974, but our family moved away many years ago. It contains appoximately 48 acres total, with woods, field and a creek. It is a beautiful property, in our humble opinion, and is adjacent to one of the covered bridges of Ashtabula. 15-20 acres was farmed by a local farmer, conventional corn/soy roatation, from the 1970's through 2018. We decided to pursue a more eco-friendly path for the property and the conventional farmer was no longer interested, so we are looking for someone interested in using the field for sustainable, organic crops. We will consider offering greatly reduced rent to someone who is willing to pursue eco-friendly practices and keep an eye on the property for us. We are also open to partnership possibilities, primarily as an investor, depending on the proposal. Bottom line, we cannot be there enough to farm the propery properly and we would be grateful to have someone who shares our values use the farmland.
