I am currently enrolled in OEFFA's Heartland Farm Beginnings course and am looking for land to start my operation. My past experience includes apprenticing on an organic farm, managing an urban community garden, and small-scale production to feed myself and my family. I also have an environmentally focused biology degree and am knowledgeable and passionate about soil health, water quality, and environmentally sound farming practices. I would like to focus on mushrooms and forest farming practices at the beginning of my operation, then add native plants and cut flowers. I would also eventually like to expand to annual vegetable and fruit production.
