Raymond Shank

Experience

Please describe your past and/or present farming experience:

I've always gardened and taught outdoor nature classes in the summer but since Covid, I've been interning at Dayton Urban Grown. I've been training in regenerative, no-till, year-round intensive vegetable production. My husband and I have run our own small business and I have several years of marketing experience, which I think will help a great deal. This winter, while Lisa Helm was out of the country, I've organized volunteers, harvested, taken care of customers, and managed the hoop houses and field beds. To get started generating income while I look for my own place I'm growing microgreens.
