Please describe your past and/or present farming experience:
I have worked on organic farms for about 6 years. 1 year of that time was spent as a WWOOF volunteer at various kinds pf sustainable farms, from pastured livestock to orchards to everything in between. Most of my work experience has been with growing organic vegetables on a 2 to 10 acre scale. I was an assistant crop production manager for 3 years with a non-profit farm in Cincinnati where I hired, supervised and helped train a team of 5 interns each year. I also created and managed a gourmet mushrooms enterprise at that farm, growing shiitakes and oysters. My husband has less farming experience but eventually wants to work on-farm. He is an engineer and loves to tinker and build things. He also enjoys working with livestock.
