My grandparents have a farm in Licking County and ran it as a homestead farm for 60 years. I learned from my grandparents working the land, tending a one acre kitchen garden, raising chickens, raising dairy and meat cows. On our own we always had an edible backyard garden. We experienced stage 3 colon cancer (NiQui) which prompted us to do exhaustive research on regaining health through food. Our studies include Back to Eden, Michael Pollan, Joel Salatin, The China Study. What we have found is a passion for growing your own food through sustainable practices such as permaculture. We truly believe in the no-till and mob grazing methods of raising food. We have been in search of our own homestead in our home state of Ohio for a few years now. Farm succession in Ohio is a real issue and we believe that there is a true possibility that we will meet a farmer that see the future in partnering with us to carry on farming in Ohio with their land.
