Experience

Please describe your past and/or present farming experience:

Hi my name is Mason Armstrong. I come from a small family farm where we raise corn, soybeans, hay and wheat. I have over 20 years of farming experience working with my dad and grandpa. I have a wife and a baby on the way and looking to pursue my dream of starting my own farm. I have been involved with our family farm starting with helping with the chores growing up and being involved in 4-H and FFA. After high school I raised cattle, sheep, and pigs. I had my own hay buissness, which my brother is currently running. I am knowledgeable in no-till and tilling preparation of land. Land management such as grass waterways and proper maintanice, and keeping the property looking great for the land owner. I am experienced with providing the land with the proper nutrition, weed managament, and timly harvest and payment to the land owner. I love getting to know the landowner and treating them the way I would like to be treated. And being a good steward of their land and treating it with the upmost respect.

Business Plan/Goals

Do you have a business plan? Please write an informative description of your vision & goals for your farming future.:

I have a passion for farming and am looking for ground to rent or do on the shares. I would be leasing my father's equitment to farm. Which helps keeps my overhead cost low. Our family farm has the equitment and infrastructure necessary for row crop and grain crop production. I have a great credit score and a responisble and sound financial history. I would love to meet and connect with landowners and grow a great partnership with them.
